A recruitment opportunity is available for 7 Flatbed Truck Drivers in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. The positions are intended for experienced heavy vehicle drivers with the required driving licence, professional driving certification and practical experience operating flatbed, trailer or container trucks.

Requirements

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

• A valid driving licence for the appropriate class of heavy vehicle.
• A valid Driving Certificate from a recognized driving college or institution.
• At least 3 years of proven experience as a heavy truck or trailer driver.
• Proven experience in container transportation is highly preferred.
• Practical experience driving flatbed, trailer or container trucks.
• Good knowledge of road safety, traffic regulations and basic vehicle inspection.
• Ability to safely manoeuvre and secure containers.
• Good communication skills.
• Discipline and reliability.

Roles and Responsibilities

Successful candidates will be responsible for:

• Safely operating flatbed and trailer trucks to transport shipping containers.
• Transporting 20FT, 40FT and 40FT High Cube containers between designated locations.
• Ensuring containers are properly positioned and securely fastened before transportation.
• Conducting daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Complying with traffic laws, road safety requirements and company HSE procedures.
• Maintaining accurate trip, delivery, fuel and vehicle records.
• Reporting vehicle defects, accidents, breakdowns and other incidents immediately.
• Ensuring timely and safe delivery of containers.
